Beverley Junior Squash

Tournament 2007 - Saturday 31st March

Saturday 31st March - More than 20 young squash players from ages 11yrs to 16yrs played in the 2007 Beverley Squash Club Junior tournament. There were 32 matches to decide which players would battle it out in the finals. Every young player is to be congratulated on their excellent attitude and behaviour on and off court during the event. The younger players will have opportunity next year to enter again while the oldest move out of the age group to compete in the main club tournaments. The final for the Plate Competition was played on the day and the main title match for the Juniors is the first of the evening on club finals night 13th April, starting at 6pm. Plate Semi-finalists were: James Whittingham v Laura McKillop & Sarah Dixon v Nick Rogers. James and Sarah (Humber Squash Academy candidates) went through to play the final won by James. Tournament Semi-finalists were: Zoe Lightowler v Sam Woolard & Matthew Rollison (Humber Squash Academy candidate) v Matthew Daniel. Sam & Matthew Daniel (Humber Squash Academy candidates) will play in the main club finals event on Friday 13th April at the Beverley Cricket & Recreation Ground courts, Norwood.
